Instrumentaldream [disquiet0181-instrumentaldream]

I made the track Instrumentaldream [disquiet0181-instrumentaldream] for Disquiet Junto, an international group of sound artists. This week’d assignment was:

Imagine your favorite instrument is dreaming while it sleeps — what does it sound like?

Disquiet Junto

The track contains 2 parts, first takes, without editing, fully improvised. Recorded with Propellerhead Reason 8.2. The guitar sounds are based on my own Boutique Amp patches.

very soothing which is always nice. by the way, is the ‘Pink Floyd touch’ deliberate? You know which seabird I’m talking about 😉

Thanks. If there’s a Pink Floyd touch to it, that’s cool. I was never a big fan so I don’t really know.

    I’ve made a huge mistake.

The touch should have been a ‘Fleetwood Mac’ one, specifically the track ‘Albatross’. If you’re curious to what I’m babbling about, just have a listen to the song before you play yours. A cool coincidence, don’t you think?

Albatross was actually an important influence to Pink Floyd’s guitarist David Gilmour playing style.
