My mix and audio post processing for the film (R)oma

The documentary film (R)oma: it tells the story of the Hopic family from Breda. A family that flees from Yugoslavia to the Netherlands in the early seventies and is not really welcomed with open arms. Because those gypsies “we don’t want them here” …

For the film (R)oma I did the mix and audio post processing.

Sound design, foley and music (beautifully done!) was in the hands of my colleague Michiel van de Weerthof. And he did part of the mixing before I got involved.

The film will premiere at the Chassé Theater in Breda. And can be seen at the Stedelijk Museum Breda from November 5, 2021 to January 9, 2022. See also the article at BN De Stem and ‘De knokkels van oma Salkanovic’ at De Groene Amsterdammer.
