I read this in the latest Tape Op Magazine and couldn’t agree more:
Stephen Lipson was a true inspiration to me. He made samplers and sequencers sound alive. If there’s one song which still impresses me a lot, it is Slave To Rhythm. The Go-Go beat, the guitars (very upfront!) with a nice chorus and the sweet voice of Grace. Still sounds as fresh as ever before.
