Commissioned by filmmaker Mark Bakker and Tomtit Film, I made a musical work for the film DE FENIX.

FENIX is located in the Fenixloods II, on Katendrecht in Rotterdam. From the quays surrounding this historic harbor building, millions of people left for a new unknown world. This Rotterdam story is the starting point of FENIX. FENIX celebrates the movement of people. The FENIX Museum will be on the first floor of the warehouse. Using art and historical objects, the timeless story is told about hope, love, farewell and a new beginning.

The ground floor will provide space for culinary, creative and cultural offerings. Fenixloods II will be extensively restored in the near future. On the roof there will be a viewing platform over the Maas and Rotterdam, designed by MAD Architects. After the restoration, FENIX will open its doors. FENIX is an initiative of Stichting Droom en Daad.
