I used to be very picky when it comes to sound. Well, I still do 🙂
But one of the things which has changed is that I now love a bit of hum and noise while in the past I would try anything to solve these ‘issues’.
Yesterday evening I recorded a small demo for a project I am working on and simply used my Skype mic. It’s USB, plug it in and voila: sound! No pre-amp and phantom-power needed. I love that. Simple to use and the sound is cool. Even Andras Haasz told me:
Really? Sounds good.

It’s a Logitech mic, you should be able to buy those at any computer-shop or Amazon.com.

yeah even in photography people are a lot more open to how a not perfect photo can acutally be pretty cool art*
