It was yesterday, on a terrace at Scheveningen. From the speakers I heard Roxanne by The Police in a languid Bossa Nova version.
Today I came across the documentary Can’t Stand Losing You: Surviving the Police which is based on the autobiography One Train Later by guitarist Andy Summers. And before I knew it I was on Vimeo watching a short video about the history of the song Roxanne. This hit was originally written by Sting as a Bossa:
